Declutter In 10 Minutes Or Less

I know that one of the biggest barriers to actually making the changes that you want to make inside of your home is finding the time to declutter. Of course, another is feeling overwhelmed as you go through the process of decluttering. This often comes down to simply finding bite-sized tasks to do. There are so many things that you can do in 10 minutes or less! To help jog your brain, I’m sharing 50 things to declutter in 10 minutes or less.

Start Small

Time is one of the most common barriers to actually making the changes we want in our lives. The good news? Decluttering your space isn’t as time-consuming as you might think. As I mentioned before, one of the most effective ways to make decluttering feel more manageable is by finding bite-sized tasks to do. Decluttering your space doesn’t have to be a huge chore that takes hours. In fact, the majority of our bits of clutter can be easily decluttered in just 10 minutes or less.

What To Declutter?

Before you start this process of decluttering, remind yourself of your “why.” Maybe the functionality of your home is lacking, or you’re feeling overwhelmed with having too much stuff. The purpose of decluttering is to get rid of things that are no longer serving their purpose. This will help create that supportive home environment we’re all striving for.

Look for things that no longer work, are expired, you don’t use anymore, OR you just don’t like anymore. A lot of these items listed below are things that we use that we don’t typically take the time to sort through– but doing so can make a huge difference!

Stay Focused!

When you go through each of these items, remember that the purpose is to declutter quickly. Now is NOT the time to do a deep clean of your entire kitchen or your whole wardrobe. It’s also not the time to sort through anything sentimental. Just stick to the task at hand, sorting through what you can keep, and what’s no longer serving you. You’ll be done before you know it!
