Choose your To File folder
Make a folder called To File inside Downloads, drag your unfiled documents in, and pick it here. Chrome protects the Downloads and Desktop folders themselves, so it will refuse those two, but any folder inside them works.

Choose your filing cabinet
Pick the folder that holds your five category drawers: Finance, Health, Legal, Education, Resources.
Tip: If your cabinet lives inside Google Drive, Dropbox, or iCloud on this computer, filing a document here also uploads it. The sync app carries it to the cloud for you.
Your browser will ask permission to view and edit each folder, and the tool remembers both folders for next time. Nothing leaves your computer, and nothing moves until you approve the plan on the next screen.
